Love Parks Week is back 12-21 July and it’s a chance for residents to make the time to get out and enjoy Coventry’s green spaces.
The national campaign is back for its 13th year and this time the aim is to encourage everyone to get out and enjoy their favourite park.
To mark the week, the Council’s Park Ranger Team are encouraging as many people as possible to make time to go and visit their favourite Coventry park. They also would like residents to share what they love about them on social media by tagging @covparkranger and using #LoveParks.
There will also be a wide range of activities throughout the week for residents to take part in, including Bands in the Park and community days.
Councillor Abdul Salam Khan, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Parks said: “Love Parks Week is the perfect opportunity for us all to get out of the house and to enjoy Coventry’s beautiful parks.
“We’re fortunate to have a number of fantastic parks, including five with Green Flag status. So, I hope everyone visits one during Love Parks Week.
“I would also like to mention the Park staff and Volunteer groups who work all year round to keep these parks in a fantastic condition. Our wonderful parks are a testament to their hard work and dedication.”
