The FREE Bands in the Park events continue this Sunday 11 August in Nauls Mill Park.
The very popular Dene River Jazzmen will be performing from 2pm until 3.30pm.
In 1975, a group of scientists at the National Vegetable Research Station - now Horticulture Research International - at Wellesbourne embarked on a musical venture which few of them - if indeed any - anticipated would still be going strong many years later. From the start, the objective was to play - and enjoy playing - as broad a range of jazz as possible. The repertoire - currently some 350-400 tunes - has always featured a large proportion of vocals. The list of numbers is probably only slightly longer than the list of venues played by the band over the years!
The event will be taking place in Nauls Mill Park, near to the Coundon St entrance.
We have a limited number of chairs available for FREE from the Rangers at the event or bring your own so you can sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
While visiting the parks for these events why not improve your health and get a bit of exercise by using the recently installed marker posts to see how far you walk.
Just another great reason to get out and about in Coventry's lovely parks over the summer
Please note: Times for this year’s events are 2pm to 3.30pm
