Coventry City Council’s Adult Social Care Services will be sending out anonymous postal questionnaires to a random sample of people who receive long-term support.
Over 1,000 surveys will be sent out in January and February via post to a random sample of people. It contains 22 questions and answers will be kept anonymous.
The survey is completed nationally and is commissioned by the Care Quality Commission and the Department of Health and Social Care. This is the 10th year the survey has been carried out and all local authorities with a social care responsibility have been asked to take part.
The survey asks people about the quality of life and their experiences of the services they receive.
The Department of Health uses the survey information to inform and support policy and decision-making at both the local and national level. The results will help to identify areas where care and support services perform well and areas where improvements can be made. This helps carers make better choices about their support and helps us to understand what is most important to people receiving care and support from the Council.
