Hundreds of pakoras donated for bin crews

Coventry’s bin crews have thanked The 29 States catering services after receiving boxes of donated pakoras on Friday (1 April).

Hundreds of pakoras were delivered to Whitley Depot for crews, meaning there was plenty to go around.

In a letter, The 29 States said: “These meals are just a small way for us to say thank you. Thank you for your contribution to society. Thank you for selflessly serving others. Thank you for caring.”

Councillor Patricia Hetherton, Cabinet Member for City Services, said: “What a lovely gesture from The 29 States. It’s acts of kindness like this that continue to show what a wonderful community spirit Coventry has. I’m so proud of the city.”
