This year’s Summer Reading Challenge will move online to help Coventry children read six books over the summer holidays.
Coventry libraries runs the Summer Reading Challenge annually, calling for children aged 4 – 11 to sign up to read six or more books over the summer holiday with a series of fun challenges, videos and activities.
Cllr Kevin Maton, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said:
“The Summer Reading Challenge is a brilliant way to help keep children reading over the long summer break, so I’m really pleased that Coventry Libraries are still able to support our local children to get involved online and enjoy some brilliant books.
“This year’s theme has a focus on fun, so it’s another great way to help your children boost their mood and enjoy some light-hearted books and activities at home.”
The theme is ‘Silly Squad’ – a celebration of funny books, happiness and laughter.
