Hot temperatures and people sleeping rough

Published Tuesday, 23 June 2020

With hot weather forecasted for the next few days, the Council and other agencies are making arrangements to provide support for rough sleepers who will be exposed to the expected high temperatures if they remain outside.

Accommodation is available but people who are street homeless and choose to remain out on the street and overnight will be provided with bottled water, food, and sunscreen while the heat persists.

Very few rough sleepers have chosen to stay out during the Covid-19 outbreak and all known rough sleepers have been offered support but anyone with a concern about someone they suspect as being a rough sleeper and in need of help and support should contact Streetlink.

Rough sleeper outreach workers have been out today providing bottled water to those people still out in Coventry.
