Small businesses in Coventry are being given the opportunity to test electric vans, pool cars or taxis.
The try-before-you buy scheme operated by the Council enables businesses to loan an electric vehicle for a minimum of two months.
A number of businesses have already been testing out the vehicles, including Coventry University, which is trying five vehicles. There is no cost for the loan of the vehicles but businesses would be expected to arrange their own temporary insurance to cover the trial period.
The two-year project is supporting efforts to reduce vehicle air pollution. Funding is provide by Highways England.
