Any Go CV members that have lost their cards during lockdown, or never got around to collecting a Go CV card, can now log in to the new customer portal and view their own Go CV card virtually.  Validation of accounts is also easier with the option to upload copies of documents securely through the portal, rather than having to call into one of the sign-up and validation centres.

Cllr Gavin Lloyd, Lead Member for ICT, said: “Our teams have been working hard to make sure customers can access their Go CV accounts more easily, by making improvements to our Go CV IT systems.  This move will make it even easier for people to enjoy a great range of discounts on many local activities and attractions and although we have gone virtual, we have kept the option of a physical card for those who prefer. The Go CV scheme shows Coventry at its best, I'd recommend anyone to take one up and explore its benefits."

Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport, Cllr Kamran Caan, said:  “It’s great news that we’ve made it even easier for people in Coventry to take advantage of free entry into the Transport Museum and get discounted access to leisure and sports facilities by improving our processes. We’ve also added War Disability Pension and Armed Forces Compensation to the eligibility for Go CV+.  All of this will allow more people to enjoy the many offers for Go CV responsibly as Covid restrictions change.

“The next 12 months is set to be super exciting for the city and we are working hard to increase the offers for local people so I’d encourage anyone who lives in Coventry to apply for a free Go CV card online now.”

Customers who still wish to use a physical, plastic Go CV card can carry on using the one they already have or collect a new one from any Sign-up or collection centre.

With a validated Go CV card, Coventry residents can get free entry to the Transport Museum, as well as offers including reduced entry to Coventry Music Museum, and varying discount levels at The Wave waterpark, Coventry Half Marathon, gym membership and exercise classes.  Even greater discounts are available for those eligible for Go CV+ on adult education courses, fishing and allotment rental.  For everyone signed up to Go CV there is currently the option to enter a free prize draw to win a bundle of tech worth £500 in partnership with CityFibre.
