Coventry Haven Women's Aid recognise the importance of taking action to end Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) by supporting the #16WeeksOfAction campaign against sexual violence and abuse.
The campaign will run until 28 March 2022.
Coventry Haven has been providing specialist Domestic Abuse support in the city since 1972, and alongside other specialist support services, including the Coventry Women's Partnership, we are committed to supporting victims of Domestic Abuse, including sexual violence and abuse, and to further developing our services to make them accessible to all.
We are here to listen; we believe you and do not judge you, so if you are, or have been subjected to any form of abuse in a relationship or from family members, please contact us on #SafeToTalk 0800 111 4998 open Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm and Saturday - Sunday 10am - 1pm, or 02476 444 077 Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, or email [email protected] We also have an online chat function which is available via any page of our website. The website is available in more than 100 languages.
Over the course of the 16 weeks, each of the local support services will take a lead on promoting what they do to get messages out to local communities. This includes Coventry City Council, Warwickshire Council Council, West Midlands Police and Warwickshire Police, Coventry Haven, Valley House, Panahghar, Safeline and CRASAC.
Coventry and Warwickshire have been collaborating to improve access to services for victims and survivors of sexual assault and abuse following the NHS Strategic Direction for Sexual Assault and Abuse Services published in 2018.
Please remember abuse is never your fault!
