The way in which Coventry residents search and bid for social housing changed recently.
The new Homefinder system was set up in September with the aim of making applying, searching, and bidding for housing easier for residents.
We want to remind people that if you were registered on the old system you must reapply to make sure your details are up-to-date and your priority banding is correct.
The new policy also sees some changes to applicant eligibility and the way people are banded.
Those applying for homes must have a local connection (barring some exceptional circumstances) and earn, or have assets totalling, less than £50,000.
If you have a Homefinder account on the old scheme you need to submit your new application by Friday 31 December to keep your effective date.
More details about the changes, including a full Q&A and how-to guides, can be found at www.coventry.gov.uk/homefindersignup
