A Coventry-based charity that helps rescue abused and abandoned dogs is seeking help to load two lorries with food and supplies for animals caught up in the war in Ukraine.
Dogbus Rescue is a dedicated animal transport service providing safe, caring and reliable transport for animals in need across the UK and Europe.
It is looking to load the lorries this week and is asking people to donate what they can.
If you can help please contact charity founder Chris Adams on 07943 040970 for more information.
Lord Mayor Cllr John McNicholas said: “I am a passionate supporter of animal welfare issues and I am delighted that this appeal has been launched to help those animals stranded and at risk in this terrible war.
“The people of Coventry have been generous in their support of the people of Ukraine and we have pledged to do all we can to help them in these dark times. This appeal is one more way that we can offer our help and I know the people of Coventry will once again show their generosity.”
