Personal data has been collected in order to manage Residents’ Parking Schemes and enforce the parking terms and conditions.

Your personal data may be collected, processed, shared and retained in order to carry out the performance of a public task and fulfil our legal obligations in the following ways:

  • Request details of the registered keeper of the vehicle from the DVLA in order to pursue a Penalty Charge Notice.
  • Share with third parties for appeals and enforcement.
  • Share with the police or security organisations to prevent or detect crime.
  • Share with other third parties for the recovery of debt and the administration and management of parking permit schemes.

We will share data with the Cabinet office (who are a government department), for the purposes of a data matching exercise called the National Fraud Initiative. The purpose of the exercise is to detect fraud and error. The Council is legally required to participate in this exercise. More information on the National Fraud Initiative.
