On 19 April 2020 it was announced by the government that identified learners across England are to receive free laptops and tablets to help them learn from home during the lockdown.
The aim of the programme is to make remote education accessible for pupils while their schools are closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
Coventry City Council have been responsible for the ordering and circulation of these resources to those pupils who qualify through the scheme.
