During the summer school holidays, younger visitors can enjoy an added attraction, the Splash 'n' Play Park.
Children can play in water jets, with water rising to 1.5m to 2m in height. The central jets are surrounded by four other water features - the 'Popits' and 'Water Ring' are suitable for under eights and the 'Mushroom' and 'Drencher', which squirts water down from a height of 2.5m, are suitable for eight to 12-year-olds. Due to technical issues, the centre water jets are not in operation for the 2022 season. The Mushroom, Drencher, Water Ring and Pop Jet features are working.
Please note that there are certain conditions and times when the splash 'n' play park will be closed including:
- Weather conditions including: low temperatures, windy weather, rain. During periods of extremely high temperatures, session lengths may be reduced.
- Water quality: The water for the Splash 'n' play feature is constantly monitored and tested in between sessions to ensure that it meets Health and Safety guidelines. This is to ensure the safety of all using the facility. If readings fall outside of the Health and Safety guidelines then sessions may be delayed or cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause however our priority is to make the Splash 'n' Play feature a safe and enjoyable experience for all using it.
If you are travelling some distance or bringing larger groups of children, we advise that you call ahead of your planned visit to make sure the facility is open. Contact the Tennis and Bowls Pavilion.
