On Wednesday, 24 September, we held our first joint Public Voice Group and Voluntary Sector Reference Group meeting at Coventry Central Hall.

As part of the Coventry HDRC's public involvement work, we continually strive to improve our collaborations and take into account the feedback of our Voluntary Sector Reference Group (VSRG) and Public Voice Group (PVG).

These groups allow Coventry residents and the Voluntary Sector to discuss the wider determinants of health that matter to them and influence the HDRC and future research. So, we got together with both groups to celebrate the PVG's first anniversary, talk about the Coventry HDRC's next steps, and review our public involvement principles (PPI).

This joint meeting also gave both groups the chance to discuss their respective priorities, explore potential collaborations between them, and consider how the Coventry HDRC can support them.

Ade Johnson, Development Manager (Projects and Programmes) at Coventry Central Hall and Voluntary Sector collaborator, hosted the event. It was a lively and positive meeting, and we hope that everyone who attended enjoyed it.
