The Research Governance process is here to support you.

Researchers working and collaborating with Coventry City Council contribute to evidence informed services and policies. New research plays an important part alongside better use of data, professional knowledge and lived experience of our residents. This can help with work in areas such as service delivery, policy design, and delivering equity in Coventry.

To ensure research carried out by or in collaboration with the Council is legally compliant and trustworthy, Coventry HDRC has developed a Research Governance process. Its purpose is to reduce risk and protect participants and researchers, ensuring research results are ethical, reliable, and relevant.

The process applies to all projects that fully or partly focus on the wider determinants of health and are produced in collaboration with the Council. To find out more, visit the Research Governance page or contact our HDRC Research Governance Officer Seeman Tsang, who is available for online and in person 'drop-in sessions'. You can discuss the new process and how to use it, from initial idea to final output.
