Boost your career and help shape the future of local services. The Predoctoral Award is open to early-career researchers from the following settings: 

  • Registered Healthcare Professionals, 

  • individuals based in a local authority or associated setting, 

  • individuals based in primary care. 

The scheme supports you to undertake a master’s degree, or a bespoke training and development plan comprising masters-level training and provides protected time to help you develop a competitive PhD application.  

The deadline for current applications is Thursday 12 March 2026.
