Coventry Libraries and Information Services

There are 16 community libraries in the city, as well as the Central Library, offering over 400,000 books on a whole host of subjects, including books on tape, in large print and in community languages and a mobile library service brings the service to your doorstep at different locations throughout the city. The libraries also provide music libraries, newspapers, magazines, readers' groups and an array of community information  PeopleLink (external website) community information and OPIN (Older People's Information Network) (external website) databases and events.

Computers offering Internet access and a range of software are available in all community libraries, with trained staff on hand to give help and advice free of charge. For information on booking a computer online.

Library Opening times over Christmas and New Year

All Libraries will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, on other days some libraries will be open. Please visit our library Christmas opening page for details of when libraries will be open.
