It’s pretty good
This book was enjoyable and quite interesting, with an AI topic that is relatable to what is happening in the modern world. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where society has been destroyed and where technology isn't well liked. The main character we follow is called Jen - a young girl of the age of twelve - and her "father" as they scavenge to survive. With the twist being a mek designed to act like a human.
The narrative is unlike many AI stories where the robot feels cold and lifeless. Father is defined by his personality and kindness. Even though meks are hated in this world, it is his secret that creates constant tension and unpredictability. It flips the evil-AI trend on its head with the machine being the one under threat, not the humans.
A bit boring not a lot happens
This book was fun to read, it took a while for me to get into it, but it was a sci-fi read!
after dont look cool but trust me its good it about many years into the future and all the robots have been shut down but theirs a dad who is but hes alive so he need to hide that and protect his daughter from somthing hunting them so i would give this book a 9/10 because i like the thought of the future and also you have to be blood related to be part of a family .

After is a really interensting book that shows a different world filled with ai bots . i liked how they showed what happens after an event . the thing that i loved the most about the book was how her father was AI bot that survived the tragic event. Iwould give this book a solid 9 out of 10
