Initially, I was afraid that this book wouldn’t be worthy of the 4 star overall Goodreads rating because a lot of the reviews said this book was very basic with a lot of plot holes.
However, my worries were dispelled very quickly.
This book was very fast paced and, therefore, very hard to put down in my opinion. Something was happening every chapter and you were expecting the big plot twist but couldn’t figure it out. The plot is stunning so once you figured it (the plot twist, that is) out, it all made sense and it felt wonderful. That wonderful feeling comes from a well structured book like this one. Everything came to a full circle. There was a perfect balance of romance and plot and the characters were interesting.
Jules Nightly is such a good book boyfriend, balancing care and mysterious-ness etc. Aureliana was very curious which I related to and I was also very invested in Vaughn and Constance’s romance.
There was an only downfall is, due to the fast paced nature of the book, I wished there was more description of characters and some scenes. Nonetheless I would rate this book 4.5/5 stars.
I love this book and I really recommend whoever reads this comment to read the book!
