It has taken ten centuries and the vision of many individuals for the magnificent Country Park to reach its present splendour. Come and explore its beautiful garden, woodland and lakeside walks and relax in the historic surroundings. The 500 acres of beautiful historic parkland offer a memorable experience to visitors all year round.

A large part of the site is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) as recognition of its importance to wildlife. Its historic parkland is on the English Heritage register of historic parks and gardens.

Coombe Country Park offers a wide range of facilities including a Visitor Centre with Discovery Centre, History room, information desk, Heron Table Restaurant and gift shop.

Outside in the park, Coombe has one of Warwickshire's largest heronries easily viewed from the park's large accessible bird hide. Coombe also has a climbing forest and children's play areas, formal gardens, premier coarse fishery, and extensive educational programmes.

Getting to the park

By rail: Coventry City Centre is well served by the national rail network, followed by a 20 minute bus journey (see below)

By road: On the B4027

By bus: No-585 Mike de Courcey Travel (for timetable please ring 02476 302656)

By cycle: The Centenery Way public footpath runs from Coventry through Coombe Country Park

By foot: As above

Accessibility: Our pathways and visitor centre are accessible for everyone. Manual wheelchairs can be hired for a £5 returnable deposit.

Admission: Free – parking charges apply £3.00 per day £1.50 for Passport to Leisure and learning holders, for cars. Car park season tickets are available, lasting a whole year and cost just £34 or £17.00 for Passport to Leisure and Learning holders.

Opening Hours: The park is open all year round seven days a week from dawn until dusk.

Visitor Centre: The visitor centre is open all year round seven days a week (except Christmas and New Year - please contact us for details). Winter - 09.30am - 4.00pm, Summer - 09.30am - 5.00pm on weekday.

Coombe Country Park welcomes you to a new catering enterprise pilot from Curriers Services Ltd. (CIC) within Community Services directorate.

Opening 10.00am to 4.00pm (7 days per week), for:

Jacket potatoes with toppings (cheese, tuna mayo)
Snacks
Pasties/sausage/vegetable rolls
