Dementia PI Tender
The ITT has been issued and is now available.
The service is geared towards delivering improved outcomes for people living with dementia, enabling them to regain their independence within their home environment through input from personalised support to aid the service user to reach their enablement potential.
The service is tendered under two lots:
Lot 1: Occupational therapy-led support
Enabling individuals to regain independence through physical support and reablement. Physical support will be aimed at recovering, developing and maintaining the ability to carry out everyday tasks within their home or community.
Lot 2: Cognitive dementia professional
Specialist support and cognitive input will be aimed at developing an awareness of the reasons behind the behavioural patterns and activities of the individual, which, when understood, will feed into the support tailored for each individual.
The service will deliver a flexible, short-term, promoting independence service. Service users receive support for up to a maximum of six weeks. This may be on discharge from the hospital to enable them to return home safely and regain their independence or as a step up from the community to those people who require additional support to maintain their independence.
Short Term Residential Reablement Services - 20 block bed provision

In 2022, Coventry City Council commissioned block and spot bed provision for Short Term Residential Reablement Services through a tender process for a Framework of providers.
The Framework operates under the Light Touch Regime under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations.
As detailed in the tender process, the Council reserve the right to re-open the Framework when service need requires.
This tender process is the re-opening of the Framework to commission further in-city (Coventry) residential block bed provision.
The total number of residential block beds is 20. The breakdown of block bed provision 5 x 4 blocks.

Short-term Home Support Services Tender
Short-term home support services for adults living at home to support them to acquire or reacquire skills to enable them to live as independently as possible. The service is a principal route for hospital discharges from health handing over to social care. The service is critical in the reduction of bed blocking enabling speedy discharge and freeing up hospital beds. Recommissioning is due to start this spring 2023.
