Carers' book club

Join us at our new carers book club, which provides an enjoyable and inclusive way to connect with like-minded readers, explore new books and engage in meaningful discussions. (Usually the second Tuesday of the Month)

Mental Health Care and Share 

This is a group aimed at those who care for others with mental health struggles. It offers a chance to talk to like-minded carers and our team in a safe environment. All carers have the opportunity to speak, and coffee and tea is provided! (First Tuesday of the Month)

Beyond Limits carers' group 

Supporting those who care for adults with learning disabilities, to enable them to talk with other carers and have a safe space to discuss any ideas or concerns that they may have. It also enables us to share ideas to widen the support network for carers and to source other support platforms. (Second Tuesday of the Month)

UHCW carers' coffee morning

Take a Break and join us at UHCW in the Faith Centre for a warm and welcoming Carers Coffee Morning. Meet others, share experiences and enjoy refreshments. (Second Thursday of the month)

Social group 

Join us in a different social setting around Coventry on the first Thursday of each month, for a chat and a cuppa!
We visit venues that are near a bus route, and we meet up and explore the venue so that Carers can go back themselves in their own time as well if they want to, then we finish up with a cuppa and a chat.
Whether you come for the local interest, the social connection, or simply to have a short while away from your caring role in a ‘no pressure’ group, you are welcome. (Usually the first Thursday of the month)

Working carers' group 

Our working carers group is a supportive and confidential space for those balancing work and caring. We meet once a month to offer peer support, practical advice and emotional encouragement. Join us to share your experiences, access resources, and connect with others who truly understand the challenges of juggling work and care. (First Thursday of the month)

Working Carers' Group - Virtual session via Zoom

Our working carers group is a supportive and confidential space for those balancing work and caring.  Join us on Zoom to share your experiences, access resources, and connect with others who truly understand the challenges of juggling work and care.

Walking group 

A lovely outdoor walk where you can stretch your legs, meet our team and get to know fellow carers. We meet once a month and visit different parks and open spaces across Coventry.

Carers' drop-in clinic at the Dementia Hub

Drop-in advice and listening clinic, held monthly at the Dementia Hub for all carers not just those caring for a loved one with a Dementia diagnosis.
Based in the ‘Forget-Me-Not Café’ at the hub – a lovely Dementia Friendly café and social space – drop by and speak to Carers Trust Heart of England Staff on the first Wednesday of the month, any time between 10am – 12.30pm. (First Wednesday of the Month)

We know how challenging caring can be and with that in mind, our group sessions are designed to help provide you with some much-needed respite and support.

Activities are a chance for Young Carers to have some respite and have a chance to make new friends and have fun. Our activities take place across the city meaning we're never too far away from you! Groups take place each and every week.

We offer a range of different groups and activities across the city to support those with a diagnosis of dementia and for those caring for a loved one.

Coventry Dementia Partnership Hub [https://www.facebook.com/coventrydementiapartnershiphub/]

The Coventry Dementia Partnership Hub is an initiative to provide more comprehensive support to people living well with dementia and their carers.

The hub offers a range of different activities, information and advice sessions, traditional day services and outreach along with a Dementia Friendly Café and social space.

The Recovery and Wellbeing Academy [https://www.recoveryandwellbeing.co.uk/Enrolment]

The Academy offers a wide range of courses and workshops designed to empower your mental health and wellbeing, provided by a number of Partner organisations working together. Courses are delivered face to face and via online group sessions. All Academy courses and workshops are completely free of charge and open to anyone over the age of 18 living in Coventry and Warwickshire who wants to better manage or understand their mental health and wellbeing. Friends, family, staff, and carers are encouraged to attend as we strongly believe in learning together to get the most out of the courses on offer.

Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service SEND(IASS) [https://www.covsendiass.co.uk/events]

Throughout the year, SEND IASS invite parent/carers to join us for sessions aimed at improving knowledge and understanding around different areas of Special Educational Needs and disabilities, and supporting their children and young people.

These sessions are free but normally need to be booked in advance.

Adult Social Care meet every other month to discuss developments in Adult Social Care; this is an opportunity for people to help develop services and processes within Adult Social Care.
