Tony Lee - November winner
Tony Lee thought of nothing else but saving the life of the boy next door, when fire broke out in a house in Thornhill Road, Coventry in July 2001.
A family man himself, he bravely, and without thought for himself, broke the door down to gain entry and rescued the five year-old boy, carrying him outside to safety.
He again entered the house, with total disregard for his own welfare, and led two adults to safety. His quick thinking was applauded by the Fire Service, who regarded him as an 'absolute hero'.
