This structured, five-week mixed media course offers adults the opportunity to develop creative skills while supporting personal wellbeing in a welcoming learning environment. Suitable for learners of all abilities, the course provides a balanced introduction to a range of artistic techniques and materials, alongside approaches that encourage mindful engagement and self-expression.
Participants will explore a variety of media, including acrylics, watercolour, pencil, crayons, and ink, combined with mixed media methods such as layering, texture creation, collage, and expressive mark-making. Each session will include tutor-led demonstrations, clear guidance, and supported studio time for individual practice and development.
By the end of the five weeks, learners will have produced a portfolio of original work, gained experience across a range of media, and developed practical skills and creative strategies that can be continued beyond the classroom. - Course level and content
