Overview
This structured 2-hour workshop offers an introduction to acrylic painting for adult learners with little or no prior experience. The session focuses on developing essential techniques, including brush control, colour mixing, and the application of paint to create texture and form.
Through tutor-led demonstrations and guided practical activities, learners will gain an understanding of how to work with acrylics, including layering and blending methods. Delivered in a supportive and inclusive environment, the workshop encourages skill development and creative confidence.
By the end of the session, participants will have completed a small finished piece and gained the foundational knowledge needed to continue exploring acrylic painting independently.

ENGAGING WITH YOUR PERSONAL LEARNING RECORD (PLR) PAPERWORK
All community learning courses require learners to engage with Personal Learning Record (PLR) paperwork. At the beginning of the course, you will be supported in setting personal learning aims, which will guide your development over the duration of the programme. Your tutor will assess your progress at key points—at the start, mid-point, and conclusion of the course—providing written feedback to help document your learning and achievements.
