Student Expected Outcomes
Expected outcomes for pupils attending NBLT Alternative Provision include improved engagement and attendance, a more positive attitude towards learning, increased confidence, motivation and self-esteem, and the development of social, emotional and employability skills. Pupils will also be supported to identify clear next steps and progression pathways, whether returning to mainstream education, accessing further training, employment or alternative pathways. Where appropriate, learners will achieve recognised ASDAN certificates and credits to celebrate progress and attainment.

Staff Experience
NBLT staff have a wealth of experience delivering Alternative Provision and vocational learning programmes to young people with a range of educational, social, emotional and behavioural needs. Our team hold Level 2, 3 and 4 qualifications within their areas of expertise and are experienced in delivering a broad range of subjects and enrichment activities including sport and exercise, dance, personal training, beauty, music, mentoring and pastoral support. Staff are skilled at adapting delivery to meet individual learning needs, build engagement, and support positive outcomes for pupils.

Well-being assessment tools
NBLT uses a range of wellbeing assessment and monitoring tools to identify needs, track progress, and support intervention planning. These include behaviour and emotional wellbeing, attendance monitoring, pupil voice discussions, restorative conversations, individual support plans, and regular review meetings with schools, families, and external agencies where appropriate. Assessments focus on areas such as emotional regulation, engagement, confidence, resilience, social interaction, and readiness to learn, enabling staff to provide targeted pastoral support and early intervention.
