Work N Learn Vocational Placement Pathway
Each learner would complete an initial assessment to identify their interests, strengths, support needs, career aspirations and level of work readiness.

Using this information, Work N Learn would match the learner to a suitable vocational placement. Placements could include areas such as:

Construction and trades
Motor vehicle and mechanics
Hospitality and catering
Hair and beauty
Retail and customer service
Business and administration
Warehousing and logistics
Digital and creative industries
Childcare and community-based settings
Other vocational sectors based on learner interest and local availability

Placements could be delivered as extended weekly placements, short vocational tasters or phased work-experience opportunities, depending on the learner’s readiness and intended post-16 destination.
Course Modules
Vocational and Academic Learning
The main focus of the programme would be learning through meaningful vocational experience.

Learners would develop practical skills, workplace behaviours and sector knowledge in a real working environment. Each placement would include clearly defined learning objectives linked to the learner’s individual pathway plan.
