An accredited introduction to motorsport engineering using a 50/50 theory and practical model. Learners build technical, problem-solving and employability skills through workshop tasks and go-kart maintenance. Learners go go-karting at the end of every session as a reward for engagement, attendance and positive behaviour.

Student Expected Outcomes
AQA Unit Award achievement; improved engagement, confidence, resilience, teamwork and technical problem-solving; greater awareness of STEM careers; and progression to further vocational study. In 2024/25, 94% progressed to Level 1 Motor Vehicle Studies.

Admissions Criteria
No formal entry requirements. For Key Stage 3 learners interested in engineering, motorsport or STEM who can engage positively and follow workshop and track safety rules. Referrals are reviewed individually.
Staff Experience
Experienced TeamSport instructors supported by staff with education, SEND, SEMH, safeguarding, behaviour, youth-work and employability expertise. Staff hold Enhanced DBS checks and complete safeguarding, Prevent and ongoing CPD.

Classroom, live workshop and go-karting track at TeamSport Coventry, with practical go-kart and track activities

Full academic year with flexible intake from September, allowing completion of programme activities and evidence.
