Course Outline
Personal Development Course Outline: An intervention ‘The Exploring Approach’ bespoke to the needs of the child/ young person. Intervention delivered in the alternative provision, home, school, and/or community.
Courses aimed at:
 Exploring My Anxiety and Worries
 Exploring My Challenges at School
 Exploring My EBSA Needs
 Exploring My Low Attendance
 Exploring and Building My Confidence
 Exploring My Social Skills
 Exploring My Happiness
 Exploring My Future
 Exploring My SEND Needs
 Exploring My School Fears
Specialists in all areas of SEND to include Mental Health and Trauma, EBSA, High Anxiety Autism. No need too complex!
All sessions will include personalised areas of interest to build confidence (i.e. Sports, Arts, Performing Arts, Catering etc.) through learning.
Sessions will be tailored to meet the needs of the child/young person in line with the agreed outcomes for all.

All successful referrals will include a Consultancy input for schools and the young person. This will lead to an action plan to support the child going forward. The consultancy is delivered by the Director herself with 30 years of experience (including Headships) in SEND.
Further opportunities for schools to include training, SEND Forums for staff, Strategic SEND support and much more!
Course Modules
Sessions focus around the following:
 Exploring Worries and Anxieties in a safe, sensitive way.
 Courses to include offering areas of interest to build confidence.
 Strategy building for future success
 EHCP Section F outcomes – working towards
 Transitional support to return to further learning and education opportunities whilst embedding strategies gained for success.
 Personal, social, and Preparation for Adulthood and Independence.
 Our goal is to engage children and young people to achieve meaningful outcomes that enable them to experience success and put into practice for their futures.

The experiences and opportunities can
 Allow pupils to explore their worries and anxieties in a safe way and space. To recognise how these worries maybe impacting on their emotional wellbeing. Giving pupils strategies and opportunities to flourish and build belief in their abilities for a successful education and wellbeing journey.

Referral Form with risk assessment plus supporting documents (EHCP, EP reports etc)
Staff Experience
Director – 30 years SEND experience in all areas (including Headships held and SENCO qualified). Specialist in Mental Health & Trauma. Approach Education LTD also has its own Advisory Board (Educational Psychologist, Ofsted Inspector (retired), Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO Social Care), Director of Children’s Residential Care (prior now Consulting). All Education Coaches qualified in their specialist field.
