Subsequent reassessment of asset 17AM concluded that long-term retention in its current form was no longer viable.
Therefore, as part of this consultation, we have been asked to consider whether a suitable alternative which will now include the implementation of a primary pollard operation. This would involve reducing the crown framework back to the principal structural limbs above the existing fracture points, effectively removing the compromised canopy and associated defects whilst retaining the standing tree.
