- Overview
-
This course invites learners to explore the rich textures and colours of autumn through the expressive medium of watercolour, while supporting personal wellbeing through mindful creative practice. Inspired by seasonal forms such as falling leaves, bark, berries, and changing landscapes, participants will experiment with a range of techniques to capture both detail and atmosphere.
Delivered in a structured and supportive environment, the course introduces methods for creating texture, layering washes, and building depth, alongside developing confidence in colour use and composition. Guided, tutor-led activities encourage observation, experimentation, and a relaxed, reflective approach to painting. - Course level and content
-
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, this course offers an opportunity to slow down, engage creatively, and develop practical watercolour skills. By the end of the course, learners will have produced a range of autumn-inspired studies and gained an understanding of how artistic practice can enhance overall wellbeing.
