This course provides a structured introduction to the principles of still life drawing, supporting learners in developing observational skills and technical confidence. Working from carefully arranged objects, participants will explore line, tone, proportion, and composition to create accurate and expressive drawings.
Through a series of guided, tutor-led exercises, learners will build an understanding of how to represent form, light, and shadow, while developing greater control of mark-making techniques. The course encourages careful observation and thoughtful composition, enabling learners to interpret everyday objects with increased accuracy and creativity.
