Course Outline
We propose a 2-year course, for 2 days per week (yr10-y11) for students to attain their functional skills in English, Maths, Digital Skills, Applied Science, Transition to Adulthood (which incorporates independent living and employability skills) and two vocational qualifications from Level 1-Level 2).

Our curriculum is designed to rebuild confidence alongside knowledge and skills. Each learner will be given a logbook to capture and record their learning journey and ultimately will form a career portfolio to demonstrate their skills and
knowledge for future study and/or employment.
Course Modules
We are NOCN (National Open College Network) accredited and can offer a variety of vocational courses with an emphasis on hands-on, practical elements. Each course
aims to develop students’ confidence, life skills, ability to gain employment and to grow into successful and productive adults.

5. Education and Training

9. Pet Care and Grooming
10. Woodworking
11. Construction Trades: Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry
12. Horticulture
13. Music and Media Production (incl. DJing, podcasting, photography and videography)
14. Personalised Learning Programme (Thrive Practitioner delivering life skills, independent learning, confidence building, addressing skills gap)
Each of these courses can be offered at Level 1, 2 based on the student's ability and is enhanced with personal development opportunities and work experience. English and Mathematics, digital skills and Applied Science are embedded into the delivery to provide core subject qualifications (Entry Level 1 to Level 2).
Learners will work towards a recognised vocational qualification aligned with progression into Coventry College.
Qualifications may include accredited vocational awards and certificates suitable for progression into Level 1 or Level 2 study.
