Course Outline
InnerPerformance is a targeted programme for KS2, KS3 and KS4 pupils who need support with emotional regulation, behaviour, confidence and engagement. The programme uses a therapeutic approach through sport, physical activity and structured play, combined with mentoring and reflection. Pupils develop skills in emotional regulation, resilience, communication, teamwork, confidence and personal responsibility. Children also use our online accountability system to track daily habits and development, allowing schools to monitor engagement and progress both in school and at home. Staff Experience
Our staff team brings a range of experience across education, care, sport and youth development. Some members of the team have worked within care homes and schools, including leadership and support roles, while others have professional backgrounds in sports coaching and physical activity. All InnerPerformance staff are trained to work with children and young people and understand the importance of building positive relationships, maintaining professional boundaries and using a therapeutic, child-centred approach. This combination of experience allows our team to use sport, play, mentoring and physical activity to create a safe, supportive and engaging environment where young people can develop emotionally, socially and personally.
Delivery Area
InnerPerformance currently delivers programmes across Coventry and the wider West Midlands, working in partnership with schools and organisations to provide targeted support for children and young people. Delivery can take place within school settings, community venues or suitable sports facilities, depending on the needs of the pupils and the school. We can provide individual, small-group and wider group sessions, using sport, play, mentoring and physical activity to support emotional regulation, behaviour, engagement and personal development.
Programme length
The InnerPerformance programme can be delivered as a short-term targeted intervention or a full-term programme, depending on the needs of the school and individual pupils.
A standard Tier 2 programme can run for 6–12 weeks, with weekly sessions combining sport, structured play, mentoring, emotional regulation and personal development. Pupils will also use the online accountability system throughout the programme to track daily habits and engagement, allowing progress to be monitored both in school and at home. The programme can be reviewed at the end of the intervention to determine progress, ongoing needs and appropriate next steps.
