Re‑engagement, Regulation and Nature‑Based Learning Programme Course Outline Therapy Wood is a trauma‑informed, outdoor alternative provision offering occupational therapy, sensory‑rich learning and curriculum‑linked nature‑based education. We provide bespoke 1:1 and small‑group programmes for children and young people who require a therapeutic, relational and regulation‑first environment to re‑engage with learning. Our dual specialism combines: Occupational therapy assessment and intervention Experiential, curriculum‑linked outdoor learning We support pupils experiencing: emotionally based school avoidance sensory processing differences high anxiety neurodivergent profiles reduced attendance transitions between settings EOTAS packages SEMH needs requiring therapeutic outdoor provision Learners access a unique woodland environment with horses, goats and sensory‑rich natural spaces that promote regulation, confidence and engagement. Programmes are designed to support: Re‑engagement – rebuilding readiness to learn through regulation, sensory integration and relational practice. Transition – supporting movement between settings, reintegration pathways and confidence building. Enrichment – enhancing a pupil’s weekly timetable with therapeutic outdoor learning that strengthens attendance, wellbeing and engagement. Therapy Wood delivers accredited learning, therapeutic intervention and practical outdoor education that reconnects pupils with themselves, others and the curriculum.

Staff Experience
Therapy Wood is led by a qualified Occupational Therapist with specialist experience in sensory integration, emotional regulation, neurodiversity, trauma‑informed practice and nature‑based therapeutic education. Additional staff and sessional practitioners bring experience in: outdoor learning horticulture animal care environmental education SEMH support experiential curriculum design nature‑based wellbeing approaches All staff hold enhanced DBS checks and complete annual safeguarding training.
