Reason for felling
Following a recent inspection of trees within this area, a single Cedar tree, recorded as asset 0Y4K in Coventry City Council’s Tree Risk Management Programme, is now considered to be dangerous or likely to become dangerous prior to the next scheduled inspection. Unfortunately, the host is exhibiting extensive coalescence of cement filled wounding in its trunk along with fresh emergence of the brown rot pathogen Dryers Gill.
Coventry City Council’s Urban Forestry Service are acting now to remove and replace this tree based on its current and declining condition. This tree is exempt from the duty to consult process but notification signposted for public awareness of proposed works with the park.
