I’m here at the national automotive innovation centre at Warwick university. I’m here today because we've just launched Coventry’s independent climate change board. I’m here with Margo James who's kindly agreed to be our chair. Margo, I just want to ask you what do you think you can bring to the board and what do you expect the ball to do over the coming few months and years?

Well thank you Jim. I’m delighted to have been appointed as independent chair of the climate change board for Coventry. I think that as chair of Warwick Manufacturing Group here at the university I think I can bring a huge amount of expertise on climate change policy personally, but also I think that, together with the council, we can convene groups, organizations from both the public, the voluntary and indeed the commercial sector, all of whom have the potential to impact on the city's success in driving down carbon emissions. and the purpose is to get them all together so that we can each help one another do more so that ultimately, I believe that the sum will be greater than its parts Jim and that's what we're all about trying to achieve with the new climate change board.
