Have you ever wondered how we manage and prioritize the maintenance and repair of roads and pavements across Coventry? Asset management is a strategic approach that looks at our roads and pavements with a long-term view.

Managing our roads and pavements in Coventry is a continuous job. We monitor the condition of 547 miles of road, 1343 miles of footways, 500 bridges and structures, 42000 drainage gullies and 235 traffic light-controlled junctions and pedestrian crossings. Our focus is to keep the roads and the pavements safe. To help us prioritize repairs we gather detailed data through regular condition surveys and inspections. We also consider criteria such as the speed limit, traffic flow, local amenities and feedback from residents. Using all of this information we create a plan that ensures we target maintenance and repairs in the right area at the right time. As well as road inspections we utilize technology and specialist software to help maintain our roads and pavements. If you'd like to know more about the work we are doing or to report some damage or a fault please visit our website.
