I am Councillor Kamran Caan cabinet member public health and sport it's a very very special day today we are very very proudly announcing that we will be hosting one of the special rugby League World Cup games you've got two great nations that will be fighting it out here to see who will win we're very proud to have Australia we've got very very traditional and historical links with by the same time Scotland and one of our own home nations it's absolutely uh honour to have a World Cup game within the Ricoh Arena in Coventry City in October 2021 it's going to be absolutely amazing and it's just another feat for our great city, especially during the UK city of culture which I think is going to be a very very important year and is gonna actually be the beginning of the fight back I hope for the city against this pandemic
