About the service

Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) focusses on enhancing relationships and supports parents to understand their child's communication by exploring strengths and successes in their parenting through video clips.

Parents or carers can be referred to the VIG Team in accordance with the local VIG pathway. The VIG team consists of Specially trained health visitors within South Warwickshire Foundation Trust and they are able to work with parents from the Antenatal period until the child starts school. VIG is an Evidence based intervention which support parents with mild to moderate Mental Health issues. VIG can help Coventry parents that may wish to overcome challenges and would like to improve their connection with their baby or child.  Coventry parents who are struggling to see the successes in their relationship with their child and want support to increase their confidence can also be referred to the VIG service and can access this free of charge.

VIG is as an intervention that sits within the green plus part of the Mental health and Wellbeing pathway.

Dadpad was developed with the NHS and real-life dads, Dadpad gives dads and dads-to-be the knowledge and practical skills necessary to be able to support themselves and their partner and give their baby the best start in life.
