‘Say No to Infection’ (SNTI) is a training resource and accreditation package dedicated to the prevention and control of infection specifically for care homes. It was first introduced across Coventry care providers in 2014/15 supported initially by Coventry and Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group (CRCCG).
The Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) team have relaunched the SNTI accreditation package across Coventry and Warwickshire. This has been very well received and staff members have been very engaged well with the programme.
To become an IPC Champion ,nominated individual/s would need to be a role model in order to promote and engage colleagues, residents and visitors around the arena of infection prevention and best practice.
The resources within the package include a learning presentation, a workbook, fact sheets and action cards. The fact sheets/action cards relate to specific infectious conditions and outbreak management etc.
All the resources are available on the Coventry and Warwickshire ICB website at: Integrated Care Board-Happy Healthy Lives
Requests from managers to nominate staff to become a champion can be accessed via: warnoicb.covwarksc19outbreaks@nhs.net
