Course details

Course Aim

This course supports delegates to understand the Systemic Social Graces Model of understanding difference, diversity and how a person’s unique characteristics and experiences shapes their lived experiences in every way.  The courses use these concepts to enable delegates to really get to know their service users & their network and take a relational approach to working effectively with the whole person. Delegates can also use the model to help them identify and address any bias in their practice.

Course Outcomes

  • An understanding of what the Social Graces are and how they can be used in practice.
  • An understanding of how a person’s social graces will shape their experiences, scripts and narratives.
  • How to use concepts of neutrality, professional curiosity and hypothesising with the Social Graces to consider a wider perspective.
  • How to use a Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM) Approach to work with individuals and their networks to create a foundation for effective practice.
