To review practitioner’s knowledge and skills base in undertaking a Section 42 Enquiry
Course Outcomes:
- Know and update the local frameworks in relation to S42 enquiries; including the enquiry report and the strengths and risks assessment tool
- Develop further the Making Safeguarding Approach when working with people with care and support needs within the enquiry
- Analyse the information gathered and assess risk and manage risk utilizing the strength based approach
- Know when to instruct an advocate in adult safeguarding enquiries
- Explore the importance of adopting multi-agency approaches within the safeguarding adult enquiry
