Inspire Creativity and Build Key Skills with Bronze Arts Award. The Bronze Arts Award offers learners an engaging opportunity to explore and participate in the arts while developing valuable personal and transferable skills.
This Level 1 qualification (on the Regulated Qualifications Framework) supports creative expression, leadership, independent learning, and communication—skills that are vital for success across GCSE subjects and beyond. Bronze Arts Award is an ideal enrichment activity or complement to the curriculum, helping to prepare learners for further education, creative study options, and future employment pathways. This flexible and accessible award nurtures confidence and motivation in learners, making it particularly valuable for learners of all abilities, including those who may not thrive through traditional academic routes. It also supports Gatsby Benchmark 4 by linking curriculum learning to careers in the creative and cultural industries.
Course Modules
To achieve the award, learners create a personal arts log or portfolio to evidence their experience across four key areas:
• Taking part in an arts activity – developing skills in a chosen art form (e.g. music, design, visual arts, digital media)
• Experiencing the arts as an audience member – attending and reflecting on at least one arts event
• Researching an artist or arts practitioner – exploring careers and creative practices in the arts sector
• Sharing an arts skill with others – demonstrating leadership and communication by teaching or presenting a creative skill
