Educ8 will be delivering a full curriculum to all learners which will be a total of 4 qualifications upon completion of the course. Learners will need to attend two days a week in order to obtain the qualifications.
The curriculum will include:
- English, Maths and Science
- Physical Education
- A chosen vocation (Hair and Beauty)
Topic learning (Black History Month, Holocaust, Faith and Religion, British Government and Politics, Protective Characteristics and one local topic)
This course provides a perfect opportunity for students to explore and experience the role of a salon junior, working as a team and contributing to salon related tasks in a salon environment.
Course Modules
Learners will take part in practical sessions and they will develop skills to prepare for and carry out;
- Hair styling
- Makeup treatments and nail art
- Engaging in hands-on practice
An understanding of how and why we consult with clients, customer care and positive communication will be gained. A good foundation of safe working practice and background information within the hair and beauty industry is delivered through theory lessons, role play and client interaction.

Staff Experience
Staff have live experience within the vocational qualifications on offer. All staff are either level 5 qualified, or working towards level 5. Staff are first aid trained and have upto date DBS.
