Radio + is an OFCOM licensed community radio station based in the City of Coventry.
We broadcast across Coventry on 101.5 FM, DAB, Online, via the Get Me Radio app and on Digital Smart Speakers. We play lots of the latest new music and we work to highlight the amazing community work and events that go on within our local community.
Our target audience is 15-35 year olds.
Radio + is committed to helping young local people by providing community based training and practical work experience, and by offering opportunities to develop new broadcast, podcast, digital, social media and employability skills.
Our Alternative Provision courses harness the power of music, broadcasting and digital media, creating a unique media rich environment that excites, engages, stimulates and challenges our students.
We have excellent broadcast studios and state of the art digital training facilities based in Coventry City Centre.
We offer 12-week Insight experience courses for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils. These programmes can be extended in agreement with CAP to 38 weeks if required.

Why work with Radio +?
Our approach is simple. We are not a school. What we offer is an non curriculum extended work experience placement that is tailored to each student.
We want to take all our students on a journey of self-discovery, where they will embrace their own identities and self-worth. We will show them that they are in control of their lives, and that they are the ones that get to make the key decisions and choices that will determine their futures.
We work with each young person to understand their needs and the challenges that they face. We then develop and adapt their individual learning plan to meet these needs, delivering the best experience for them and an outcome that helps them move forwards towards achieving their hopes and aspirations.
Our mission is to build self-confidence, belief and resilience. We aim to equip our students with the skills that they’ll need to engage with the world, helping them to move forward in education, work and ultimately to succeed in life.

Staff Experience
Our staff are all experienced radio and podcast presenters. Our project lead is an industry veteran with almost 40 years’ experience working within the Broadcasting and Music industries.
