Learn how to use a sewing machine while you make a selection of small projects. This course is designed to increase your personal confidence and also increase your confidence using the sewing machine. Through developing your confidence, you can progress further by developing techniques to make items for the home, gifts and sewing accessories.
ENGAGING WITH YOUR PERSONAL LEARNING RECORD (PLR) PAPERWORK
All community learning courses require learners to engage with PLR paperwork. At the start of the course, you will record and update your learning aims which you will work towards during the duration of the course. Your tutor will assess your learning throughout the beginning, mid-point and end of the course to provide written feedback and document your progression.
Your tutor will also give you regular verbal feedback.
By the end of this course, you will have acquired the technical skills to enable you to use a sewing machine to create a selection of projects/samples incorporating a variety of machine techniques.
Sewing machines are provided by Coventry Adult Education. Students cannot use their own machines, due to health and safety reasons. - Course level and content

Progression routes include enrolling on another craft course such as Machine Patchwork. Additionally, you can enrol on another art/craft course.
