In this course, you will learn the fundamental skills needed to confidently use a sewing machine, from threading and stitching to understanding different fabrics and patterns. Through practical, hands-on projects, you’ll create a range of small seasonal projects and simple items such as bags, home accessories, and basic garments. The course focuses on building your confidence to prepare you to use your skills beyond this class. Through learning essential sewing techniques, the course aims to encourage creativity and personal style, making it perfect for complete beginners or those looking to refresh their skills.
By the end of this course, you will have acquired the skills to enable you to use a sewing machine and understand a selection of machine techniques.
Sewing machines are provided and students cannot use their own machines, due to health and safety reasons.
