- Overview
-
This course is inspired by the dancing found in popular Bollywood films. Drawing on the symbolism of the gestures, footwork and costumes of classical Indian dance styles, Bollywood is a lively and uplifting art form. This course aims to make the style accessible and enjoyable for everyone!
Classical dance forms such as Bharatnatyam and Kathak, and folk dances such as Bhangra, each have their own unique styles, but they often share signs and meanings that are combined to create modern Bollywood dances.
This course will enable you to experience a variety of steps and sequences in a relaxed environment, whilst giving insights into the main influences of this exciting dance style. Come along to learn, have fun and keep fit!
ENGAGING WITH YOUR PERSONAL LEARNING RECORD (PLR) PAPERWORK
